All this used to be fields on Flickr.This flyover was completed in the early ’70s and carries the M40 motorway as it cuts across and over the border of the village of Wooburn Green and Loudwater which might be described as a suburb of High Wycombe. The business and industrial units filled in the surrounding meadows throughout the ’80s. I have distant chidlhood memories of playing in those fields, walking the dog and picking blackberries with the family. I think they seem so distant because this area has been totally obliterated by concrete, tarmac and steel. That’s progress!
